Coming To Cov - Crystal Palace

With the internationals over for a bit, it’s back to Championship football for the Sky Blues who take on Crystal Palace at the Arena on Saturday at 3pm.
Micky Adams who is looking for an improvement from his players following the defeat at Sheffield Wednesday a fortnight ago, will be without Robert Page who starts the first game of a three match suspension.

The City boss, whose side have not kept a clean sheet for eight matches, is boosted by the return of two players looking to play against their former club in Richard Shaw and Dele Adebola.

Crystal Palace who lie seventh in the league are hoping that England international Andy Johnson will have recovered from his knee injury in time to play. Iain Dowie will have to make a choice on who to play with Johnson up front and has Clinton Morrison, Jon Macken, Dougie Freedman and Wayne Andrews as possible striking partners.

City have already lost to Crystal Palace this season in the League Cup but the last time the two clubs met in Coventry, Peter Reid had just taken over from Eric Black as manager and steered the Sky Blues to a 2-1 victory at Highfield Road in May 2004 against a Palace side already heading for the Play-offs and promotion to the Premier League.

This will be the 88th time the teams have met with Coventry winning 34 to Palace’s 24. City have scored 147 goals compared to Palace’s 113.
Referee for the game is Alan Wiley from Staffordshire.

Tickets for the game are priced at £15 for adults and £6 for concessions, however these prices apply only to Coventry City supporters and you are advised to get a ticket in advance to avoid the queues on match day. Again, park where you can legally.

Coventry City U18's are in action on Saturday morning at the Alan Higgs Centre when they take on Tottenham Hotspur. Kick off is at 11.30am.
