Warwickshire's Chris Woakes took his first wicket for England on the second day of the final Ashes match against Australia at The Oval.
Woakes had James Faulkner caught by fellow Warwickshire player Jon Trott, who had earlier bowled Brad Haddin, to claim first wicket for England full test side.
Australia, who had Shane Watson make 176 and Steve Smith hit an unbeaten 138, declare their 567 minutes innings on 492-9.
In reply, England were 32-0.
