Javid went on to make forty six, hitting six fours but he became Gronevald's second victim when he was caught behind by Pointon to leaves Warwicks on 120-5.

Whilst Chris Woakes was scoring, at the other end, Stuart Poynter was out for a duck after being caught and bowled by Gronevald who took a fourth wicket when he had Keith Barker caught behind.

Jeetan Patal did his best to help out a struggling Warwickshire side with a rapid forty from fifty nine balls before being caught by Footitt off the bowling of Alex Hughes, to see Warwicks on 217-8.

Woakes continued his form and went on to make a century off 190 balls in 252 minutes, hitting eleven fours and was unbeaten on 102 as Warwicks ended the day on 285-8 with Maurice Chambers 14 not out.
