Roompot's Pieter Weening has won the second stage of the Tour Of Norway.

ONE Pro Cycling's Steele Van Hoff was in the leader's yellow jersey for this 211km stage from Kragerø -Rjukan and it was a stage which started with a crash which forced Kørner and Kragh Andersen to abandon.

Edvald Boasson-Hagen of Dimension Data took the first sprint before a group of five riders which included LottoNL-Jumbo's Steven Lammertink, G.Dockx of Lotto Soudal , Benedetti of Bora Argon, Jansen (Joker) and Krizek (TeamRothGruppe) got 3.05 ahead after 65kms.

Jason Lowndes of Drapac abandoned before Dockx took the sprint at Seljord but then was at the back of the group as Benedetti took the climb at Nutheim.

With fifty kilometres left, the gap stood at two minutes. Tomasz Marczynski put in an attack, taking about thirty riders with him so Lammertink headed off on his own and briefly had forty seconds before being caught.

Roompot's Pieter Weening took over on the front with less than fifteen kilometres to go and had a twenty five second lead of an Edvald Boasson-Hagen led group going into the last five kilometres.

Weening kept going and he took the win ahead of Sondre Holst Enger of the Norwegian National Team and Odd Christian Eiking also of the Norwegian National Team to give himself the leader's jersey.
