Warwickshire County Cricket Club made quick work of Worcestershire tonight to win by nine wickets.

This Twenty/20 game at New Road was brought forward, so that everyone could get to see the England V Algeria World Cup game and it was Worcestershire who won the toss and opted to bat.

Worcestershire were met by a Warwicks attack which claimed it's first victim in the first over, when Jayasuira was caught by Chris Woakes off the bowling of Neil Carter.

Two balls later, Woakes had a wicket when Ali was caught by the recalled Tim Ambrose and with his final ball of the second over, Woakes bowled Kervezee to see the home side on 10-3.

Jaques and Mitchell briefly turned things round but when Imran Tahir removed Jaques and in the next over, Keith Barker had Mitchell caught, advantage was back with the Bears.

Cameron went for 15 followed by Manuel who had made a rapid 31 then Scott and Jones were run out as Worcestershire closed on 118-9.

Neil Carter was out for one with the score on twenty one but an unbeaten stand of one hundred by Jon Trott (72 not out) and Darren Maddy (44 not out) as Warwicks cruised to victory.

Warwicks are back in Twenty/20 action on Sunday.
