Warwickshire Lead Wiped Out

Warwickshire County Cricket Club had their first innings lead wiped out on the third day of their County Championship game with Lancashire at Edgbaston.

Warwicks resumed on 130-4 but quickly lost Will Porterfield who added only six runs to his over night total of 51.

Tim Ambrose and Rikki Clarke came to the crease and had put on 97 when Ambrose was trapped lbw by Hogg after making 62.

Rikki Clarke made 56 but he was bowled by Simon Kerrigan and this was followed by Patal,Wright and Rankin all losing their wickets cheaply whilst at the other end, Keith Barker batted on for an unbeaten 44.

Lancashire had made 71 in their second innings when Warwicks got a break through with Jeetan Patal trapping Davies, who had made thirty lbw.

His fellow opener Paul Horton, followed twelve runs later, when he was caught behind by Tim Ambrose to give Boyd Rankin a wicket as Lancs closed on 84-2, some 48 runs ahead.
