Warwickshire were hanging on the third day of their County Championship game against Lancashire at Edgbaston.

Warwicks finally removed the visitors for 199 to leave themselves a target of 441 to win with a day and a half's play in order to get the runs.

Darren Maddy has made eleven runs when he become the first of Glenn Chapple's four victims. With the first ball of Chapple's next over, he had Ian Bell caught for a duck and Warwicks were 22-2.

Eight runs later, Ian Westwood was next out after making 13 from 42 balls.

Enter Jon Trott, who hit fifteen fours and ended the day 102 not out. The England international put on 89 for the fourth wicket with Jim Troughton (41), 86 with Rikki Clarke (41) and Tim Ambrose (22) as Warwicks closed 263-6, needing 178 more runs to win four wickets remaining.
