Warwickshire Cricket League Round Up

Last updated : 08 July 2012 By Graham Seal

Another one of those difficult days to write a report ion as a near monsoon on Friday left many ground completely under water and unplayable. Premier Division, rained off, Division1 rained off, Division 2 Knowle and Dorridge beat Offchurch to leave Offchurch well and truly in the drop zone whilst hauling K & D into mid table as rain was their biggest ally on the day. Also in this division Massey Fergusson, bottom went to Aston Unity, and with the top team score of 240 and the top individual score 90 from Azhar, hauled themselves back in touch with the pack with an important winning draw

They started at Corley in Division3 news worthy in itself but then the heavens opened and rained off with Morley 40 not out in 59 for 1 from Weoley Hill. Ambleside just down the road however faired even better with 160 fort 8 proving enough to beat North Warwicks. The significance of this Ambleside Corley and Weoley Hill are first second and third in the division, so Ambleside with the win go 32 points clear tonight

The win by MEB in the 3rd XI and single Team league takes them to 6 wins from 10 but ignore the rain and they have a 100% record, the only other team in the leagues to share this is Hunningham 2nds in Division 4 seconds. Zain took 8 for 8 this week and even in a normal week would have topped the bowling stats.

any way for now best performances
