Week 2 round up

The tables for several of the divisions indicate early season advantages for teams who managed to get a fixture played this week, with the one game in the Premier division giving an early season lead to Kings Heath for who Matt Tipller was top score with 58 in a total of 190 for 8. Bedworth the visitors held out for the draw T Dangerambzi with 77 holding together a response of 154 for 6. In division 1 there was a battle of the 2 prompted teams with Rugby emphatic victors curtoisy of Monsells 4 for 36 which had Martson Green 114 all out. Robards aled the way in a reply of 115 for 2. In the same division Southam are joint top after a 5 wicket victory at Bronze. Division 2 see the chairman's XI riding high with the only 100% record in the top 3 divisions mainly because it has rained cats and dogs for 2 weeks. For the second week running Castle Bromwich had their bowlers to thank defending a lowly 114 all out this week, they squeezed home by 10 runs to add to their 6 run victor last week. Division 3 is headed by Corley 205-3, with contributions from P.Williams 63no, D.Rogers 49, C McConnachie 41. Griff and Coton however had the dour defence of Mike Daniels, 38 is a reply of 123 for 8 to thank for preventing the loss.
