Warwicks Toil At Middlesex

Warwickshire County Cricket Club toiled in the field on the opening day of their County Championship game with Middlesex.

At Uxbridge, Warwicks won the toss and put Middlesex into bat.

Chris Wright had Chris Rogers caught behind by Tim Ambrose after making sixteen, before Denly and Dexter added fifty six with the latter out after making 26 of those runs.

Middlesex were on 97-2 and Joe Denly and David Malan pushed the score on to 232 when Denly went trapped lbw by Maddy for 95 and Malan went on to make 106 before he was Wright's second victim.

Chris Woakes had Simpson and Berg caught in two successive balls and although Wright removed Eoin Morgan for 19, Middlesex closed on 324-7.
