Warwicks Struggle Versus Yorkshire

Warwickshire County Cricket Club struggled on the opening day of their County Championship match with Yorkshire at Edgbaston.

Warwicks batted first and lost Will Porterfield who had made thirteen when he was caught by Finch.

Varun Chopra and Jim Troughton put on forty four before both went with a run of each other.

Sam Hain went for eight, Chris Woakes went for a golden duck followed by Rikki Clarke who lasted three balls before he was caught by Lees.

Tim Ambrose added 29 and Keith Barker 36 as Jeetan Patal was making his way to an un beaten 63 but Chris Wright was bowled after making six and Boy Rankin fell to Sidebottom after making eleven and Warwicks were all out for 228.

Chris Woakes took the wickets of Adam Lyth and Jack Leaning without scoring as Yorkshire closed on 82-2, some 146 runs behind.
