Warwicks Short Of Durham Total

Warwickshire County Cricket Club were bowled out for 209 in their first innings of their County Championship match against Durham at Chester Le Street.

Resuming after Durham were all out for 267, Warwicks started the day on 31-1 and added eighteen more runs before Varun Chopra joined Ian Westwood in the pavillion after being caught by Richardson for 35.

Rushworth took that wicket and added a second when Will Porterfield was caught after making 24.

Tim Ambrose added twelve before Jim Troughton, who had made 21, was caught by Stokes to see Warwicks on 106-5.

Mark Wood bowled Ateeq Javid for six and Rikki Clarke added eight before Barker and Patal came to the crease.

The pair scored 72 runs between them before Barker was out, trapped lbw by Rushworth for 31. Patal who had hit 53 including seven fours and a six was bowled by Stokes who took the final wicket of Chris Wright to see Warwicks all out for 209, some 58 runs behind.

When Durham batted for a second time, Patal had Jennings caught by Clarke for eleven and Scott Borthwick was out for two, caught by Chopra off the bowling of Boyd Rankin, followed by a great catch at short leg by Ian Westwood to remove Smith for four in the 20th over and Patal his second wicket.

Stokes was run out for five after a mix up with Stoneman, who was unbeaten on 73 and Collingwood went for 7, lbw to Clarke who removed Mustard without scoring as Durham fell to 106/6 after 35 overs. 

In the 39th over, Stoneman was bowled by Rankin after making 83 and six overs later, Rankin removed Onions for five to see Durham close on 152/8, some 210 runs ahead.
