Warwickshire County Cricket Club sets Nottinghamshire 427 to win, on the third day of their County Championship game at Edgbaston.

Notts resumed on 131-2 and were soon in trouble thanks to Jeetan Patal who took four wickets for sixty runs. 

Michael Lumb was the first victim of Patal in the day when he was caught and bowled for 51 for a Nottinghamshire side which also struggled against Keith Barker who took the wickets of Patal for 19, James Taylor after he top scored with 8 and Chris Read for a duck as Notts trail enders caved in and they were all out for 217.

Warwicks came in and in 44 overs, made 180 -6 with Tim Ambrose scoring 60. They declared and set Notts 427 to win.

At stumps, Notts were 38-0.
