Warwickshire County Cricket Club set Sussex a first innings total of 453 Day Two of their County Championship game against Sussex at Hove.

Warwicks resumed on 276-4 and added nine runs to that total before Jon Trott who had made 96 was caught behind by Matty Prior off the bowling of Chris Jordan.

With the score on 292, Tim Ambrose, who had come in as Warwicks second nightwatchman, went without scoring after facing seventeen balls, when he became Prior's fifth catch of the innings and a fourth wicket for Chris Jordan.

Chris Woakes and Laurie Evans earned Warwicks a third batting point but Evans went twenty five runs later when he was bowled for nineteen by Monty Panesar.

Warwicks were on 369-7 at lunch and when the second session of the day resumed, Tom Milnes and Chris Woakes put together a partnership of 103.

That ended when Milnes was bowled by Anyon after making 42 and was followed by Woakes being bowled by Monty Panesar for 72 including two sixes.

Boyd Rankin had made six but when he was caught behind by Prior to give Anyon his third wicket, Warwicks were all out for 453.

Sussex closed on 129-1.
