Warwicks Seconds Go Top

Warwickshire Second Eleven are top of the Northern Division of the Second Eleven Championship after a draw with Durham.

At Coventry & North Warwick's Binley Road ground, Warwicks batted first and made 300-7 declared from 93 overs with Jonathan Trott making 43, , Jim Troughton 62 and Paul Best an unbeaten 59. 

Durham then batted and declared with a lead forty eight after making 348-9 with Graham Clark top scoring with 79 and four wickets for Paul Best.

Warwicks made 48-2 before the close and today, Jonathan Trott and Stratford's Jim Troughton got stuck into the Durham attack. Trott made an unbeaten 138 and Jim Troughton hit 123 as Warwicks ended the day on 329-4 and the match was declared a draw with Warwicks taking thirteen points which sent them top of the table.
