Warwicks Lose Thanks To Duckworth/Lewis

Warwickshire Bears were beaten by 22 runs by Glamorgan Dragons on the Duckworth/ Lewis method in a T20 fixture.

Glamorgan batted first at Edgbaston and had Alleyne who had made all of the nine runs on the board caught by Richard Johnson off the bowling of Chris Woakes.

Shaun Marsh and Mark Wallace added 44 before Wallace, who had made twenty, was caught by Evans to give a wicket to Patel.

Martin van Jaarsveld hit 36 in a partnership of 79 before he gave Chris Wright a wicket after giving Rikki Clarke a catch.

Marsh was eventually out after making 68 from 48 balls and hitting three sixes when he too was caught. This time, Darren Maddy took the catch off the bowling of Keith Barker.

Wright bowled Chris Cooke for ten as Glamorgan ended their twenty overs on 173-5.

Warwicks had made sixteen from the first fifteen balls when Barker was out for 11, giving Cosker a catch

Varun Chopra and Jim Troughton moved the score on to 43 in the sixth over when Chopra who had made twenty was caught by Walters.

Troughton went ten runs later and when Maddy went for ten, Warwicks were 60-4 in the ninth over. A run later, rain stopped play.

No more play was possible and Glamorgan were awarded the game on the Duckworth/Lewis method.
