Tim Ambrose made some good shots before he was caught for 58 and when Boyd Rankin was out for 27 after putting on 39 with Chris Metters who finished on 25 not out, Warwicks were all out for 382.

Worcestershire put on 56 for the opening wicket before Chris Metters took the wickets of Pardoe, Kervezee, Ali, Wright and Santry to record figures of 5-65.

Worcestershire closed on 228-9, some 154 runs behind
