Warwickshire County Cricket Club went down to a six wicket defeat against Nottinghamshire in a YB40 Group A game.
At Trent Bridge, Warwicks made 238-7 from their forty overs with Darren Maddy making 56, Tim Ambrose 55, Varun Chopra 37, Jim Troughton 36 and Ateeq Javid 21 with Harry Gurney taking 3-41 for the home side.
Oliver Hannon-Dalby removed Hales for six and Lumb went for 21 to Clarke to see Notts on 34-2 but Samit Patal came in to a superb unbeaten 129 from 123 balls including four sixes.
Although Patal lost Taylor for 46 and Cowan who was run out for ten, Patal steered Notts to a win with five balls remaining.
