Warwickshire County Cricket Club were hit by bottom side Surrey who smashed 340 runs on the second day of the County Championship game at Edgbaston.

Surrey resumed on 59/2 after yesterday's wash out and quickly got amongst the runs.

They moved their score on to 184 when Amala, who had made 77 was caught by Varun Chopra to give Keith Barker a third wicket.

At the other end, Vik Solanki was in fine form, hitting 162 runs from 246 balls including 24 fours and one six before he was bowled by Chris Woakes.

This ended a partnership of 182 with Steven Davies who was out three runs after making a century, caught by Ateeq Javid to give Maurice Chambers a wicket.

Wilson and Ansari were there at the end as Surrey ended the day on 400/5.
