Warwickshire County Cricket Club are heading for defeat on the final day of their County Championship game with Sussex.

Warwicks resumed their seconds innings on 367-7 and Ian Bell and Jeetan Patal got straight on with increasing their partnership. The duo had put on 118 when Patal was caught behind by Brown to give Steve Magoffin his third wicket in the innings.

Chris Wright came in but last only four balls before being bowled by Jimmy Anyon.

Ian Bell took control and having taken his score past 150, he was hitting the runs whilst Oliver Hannon-Dalby at the other end was blocking shots for all he was worth in order to keep Bell on strike.

It was trying to keep Bell on strike that proved to be their downfall as with the score on 471 in the 121st over, Bell went for a run and ran out Hannon-Dalby to end Warwickshire's innings and set Sussex a target of 330 in a day and two sessions.

Against a power puff Warwicks attack, Sussex opening pair of Luke Wells and Ed Joyce were able to hit runs and they had knocked up 135 before Laurie Evans caught Wells who had made 57, off the bowling of Keith Barker.

Yardy added 28 before he too was caught, this time by Chris Wright off the bowling of Patal

Joyce and Rory Hamilton-Brown got together and Joyce was able to hit a century from 172 balls.

At stumps, Sussex, needed another 57 runs to win with Joyce unbeaten on 125 and Hamilton-Brown 48 not out.
