Warwickshire County Cricket Club were beaten by seven wickets on the final day of their County Championship game with Sussex at Edgbaston.
Sussex, resumed needing another fifty seven runs to win with Joyce unbeaten on 125 and Hamilton-Brown 48 not out.
Rory Hamilton-Brown added four runs to his tally before being caught by Jonathan Trott to give Jeetan Patal a second wicket.
But Ed Joyce (151 not out) and Matt Machan (27 not out) were able to steer Sussex to a seven wicket win.
