Warwickshire County Cricket Club failed to progress to the T-20 Quarter-Finals after being beaten by Somerset in their final group game.

At Edgbaston tonight, Somerset batted first and made 175-5 from their twenty overs with Craig Kieswetter hitting 76 from 53 balls including six fours and 32 each for Trago and Compton.

Warwicks started off slowly, losing Varun Chopra for three. Will Porterfield for 31 and Rikki Clarke for six to leave them on 65-3 in the ninth over.

Despite the efforts of Darren Maddy, who smashed an unbeaten 67, and Laurie Evans who hit an unbeaten 51, Warwicks still needed 45 from 24 balls and eventually down to an ten run defeat.
