Warwickshire County Cricket Club are still without a win in YB40 Competition after a seven wicket Duckworth/Lewis defeat to Nottinghamshire at Edgbaston in a televised match.

Warwickshire's innings was twice interrupted early on by hailstorms and rain and the match was first reduced first to a 37 overs contest and then to 30 overs

Varun Chopra made 42 and Rikki Clarke hit 59 after Warwicks set Notts an initial total of 189-7

Michael Lumb got straight into the Warwicks' attack making 57 from 41 balls for Nottinghamshire who were set a revised target of 194 from 30 overs.

They were well ahead of the required run rate when more rain saw their needed scored dropped to 133 in 21 overs and then 21 from 20 balls when the players finally returned.

Notts achieved this target with nine balls to spare to condemn Warwicks to a seven wicket defeat.
