Turgis Wins Tour De Luxembourg Third Stage

Antony Turgis of Cofidis rode to victory on the third stage of Skoda Tour De Luxembourg.

The Queens Stage of 177.4kms was from Eschweiler-Wiltz to Differdange and another wet day for the riders.

A group of five riders including Tosh Van Der Sande were 1.54 clear and 3.20 ahead after 80kms of racing on a stage which had the route changed due to a landslide and one that saw Prologue winner Jempy Drucker abandon.

They were caught and a new group of four riders including Christopher Juul Jensen (Orica-GreenEdge), Mathias Frank (IAM Cycling) and Luis Angel Mate (Cofidis).broke clear to the finish with Anthony Turgis of Cofidis taking the win.

Maurits Lammertink (Roompot Oranje-Pack) retains the overall lead on the eve of the final stage in Luxembourg, with a 7 seconds advantage over Anthony Turgis and 12 seconds over Philippe Gilbert (BMC).
