Trott And Bell Play In England One Day Win

Warwickshire's Jon Trott and Ian Bell played in England's rain affected 110 run D/L victory over Sri Lanka.

England batted first and were 37-1 when the rain came down and forced play at The Oval to be delayed until 5pm and the match a 32 overs per side game

Jon Trott was batting when the rain came down and had made 23 when he was trapped lbw by Lakmal.

Craig Kieswetter hit 61 and Kevin Pietersen 45, before Ian Bell came in to add twelve runs to the total before he too was out lbw.

England made 229-8 from their 32 overs and Jimmy Anderson was in good form taking four wickets as the tourists were bowled out for 121 in 27 overs to give England a 110 run win under the Duckworth/Lewis rule.
