Taylor Phinney is the new American national time trial champion.
The BMC rider completed the 48km course in Winston, Salem in a time of 1.02.45, which was 1.10 better than Thomas Zirbel of Rally Cycling, 1.12 better than Alexey Vermeulen of LottoNL-Jumbo, 1.36 ahead of his BMC team mate Brent Bookwalter and 1.52 ahead of Evan Huffman of Rally Cycling.
