Warwicks are five games unbeaten in the PRO40 League with a six wicket victory over Kent at Edgbaston.

The visitors batted first and were in trouble early on crashing to 60-6. Boyd Rankin took 4-34 and Chris Woakes picked up two wickets as Kent were restricted to 192-9 in their forty overs.

Only skipper Robert Key who made 87 and Robert Ferley who made 52 offered any resistance.

Warwicks had Jon Trott caught for 13 and Neil Carter was out with the score on 31.

Ian Bell and Jim Troughton added 68 before the Stratford man was caught by van Jaarsveld. Bell went onto make 55 from 71 balls before he was run out but Darren Maddy with an unbeaten 43 and skipper Ian Westwood with an unbeaten 21 ensured that Warwicks reached their target with five overs to spare.

Tomorrow, Warwicks have a County Championship game against Lancashire at Edgbaston. Play is due to start at 11am and there is a forum after the days play.

In the West Indies, England won the T/20 World Cup with a seven wicket win in the final against Australia.
