Second T20 Win For Warwickshire

Warwickshire County Cricket Club won their second successive T20 game with a five wicket victory at Yorkshire tonight.

Fresh from yesterday's five wicket win at Durham, Warwickshire moved to Leeds to take on Yorkshire in a second T20 match.

The home side batted first and had put on 52 before John Bairstow was caught by Richie Barker.

Andrew Gale made 54 before he was run out by Stefan Piolet and when Darren Maddy took the wickets of Lyth, McGrath and Brophy, Yorks were 136-5 with four overs to go.

In the final four over, they added another twenty five runs and lost three more wickets to set Warwicks a target of 162.

After Varun Chopra had been trapped lbw for four, Will Porterfield who made 83 against Durham, continued in good form with the bat.

He and Neil Carter put on 71 for the second wicket which saw Carter caught for 27.

Warwicks pushed the score onto 113 but then Porterfield was trapped lbw by Rashid and out after making 64 from 34 balls.

Darren Maddy was out for a golden duck and Jim Troughton also lost his wicket as Warwicks were reduced to 122-5 in the 14th over.

Tim Ambrose and Rikki Clarke came in and Ambrose smashed a six and then hit the winning runs with a four to give Warwicks a five wicket victory.
