Second T20 Defeat For Warwickshire

Warwickshire County Cricket Club lost their second consecutive T20 game when they went down to a 27 run defeat at Northamptonshire.

The home side batted first and put on 63 for the opening wicket which came when Levi was caught by Woakes off the bowling of Javid for 35.

Kyle Coetzer was in good form hitting an unbeaten 71 from 61 balls and he worked with Cameron White to push the score on to 118 in the 15th over before White went for 28 after being caught by Barker to give Jeetan Patal a wicket.

Alex Wakeley came to the crease with Coetzer and they steered Northamptonshire to 161-2. after their twenty overs.

Warwicks started reasonably but having made 35, Darren Maddy was out for 15 after being bowled by Azharullah.

Varun Chopra had scored 19 when former Warwicks player Lee Daggett took this wicket and when Clarke went for three, Warwicks were 66-4 in the 12th over.

Chris Woakes went for 23, followed by Ateeq who top scored with 41 but with Barker going for six and Patal for two, Warwicks were always in trouble and could only make 134-8 and went down to a 27 run defeat.
