His Excellency Aref Al Awani, General Secretary of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said: “During the fourth stage at Yas Marina Circuit last October we saw the first live on-board camera footage in a men’s professional road race. Thanks to Velon and RCS Sport, according to the UCI, this year we’ll have other big news. The Abu Dhabi Tour is confirmed as an ideal race to test technological innovations that make cycling more and more interactive and spectacular for television viewers around the world. As the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, we can only be proud of it.”
