Rain greatly affected the second day of the County Championship game between Warwickshire and Durham at Edgbaston.

There was no play due to rain in the morning session and it was not until mid afternoon that the covers came off and play got underway with Andrew Miller losing his wicket and Warwicks being 186 all out, some 416 runs behind Durham's first innings total.

Durham enforced the follow-on but Steve Harmison was only able to bowl four balls, one of which brought five legside wides for Warwickshire before the rain came down and tea was taken.

With eight runs on the board, Varun Chopra was out for a duck when he was caught by Di Venuto in the second over.

Fifteen more runs were added before Di Venuto took a second catch to remove Westwood who had made four.

When Mohammad Yousuf was trapped lbw by Stokes first ball, Warwicks were in massive trouble at 35-3.

They closed on that score, some 371 runs behind.
