Pierrick Fedrigo To Retire

Fortuneo Vital Concept rider Pierrick Fedrigo has announced that he will retire at the end of the season.

Fedrigo has had seventeen years as a pro and has been the French national champion as well having four stage wins the Tour De France.

In an interview he said:
  
Will you stop your career next year?
Pierrick Fedrigo: "Yes, my decision is the bike brought me a lot but in 2017 I will no longer be part of the pack.."
  
Why make this choice today?
Pierrick Fedrigo. "I want to enjoy my children and they want to share things with me Cycling is a very demanding sport, we go almost 200 days a year, this is not always compatible with the family life. I feel it is the right time to move on. the bike is both difficult and wonderful.
