Warwickshire County Cricket Club kept their hopes of qualificiation from the T20 Midlands/Wales and Western Division alive with an eight wicket win over local rivals Worcestershire at Edgbaston.

Worcestershire batted first and had Mooen Ali top score with 37 as Chris Woakes took 3-28 in his four overs, to restrict The Pears to 146-8.

Warwicks lost Will Porterfield for one in the second over but a superb unbeaten 75 from Varun Chopra from 57 balls moved the total on.

Darren Maddy added 44 before he was caught behind by Cox but Rikki Clarke chipped in with eighteen from eigt balls including a six to give Warwicks an eight wicket win with 15 balls to spare.
