Nottinghamshire piled on the runs on the third day of the County Championship game with Warwickshire at Trent Bridge.

Notts resumed on 49-0 after rain had cut short yesterday's play and although Jeetan Patel took four wickets, the home side were able to pile on the runs.

Steven Mullany hit four sixes in a knock of 94, whilst Paul Franks hit an unbeaten 76, Neil Edwards made 53 with Kelsall, Wessells, Read, Phillips and the extras all getting in to thirties.

After 112 overs, Notts ended the day on 444-8, some 395 runs ahead.
