Nibali Rides Into Giro Lead For Final Stage

Astana's Vincenzo Nibali rode himself into the leader's maglia rosa jersey on stage twenty of the 99th Giro D'Italia.

Rein Taaramae of Katusha got clear and took the win on the 134km stage in the Alps from Guillestre to Sant’Anna di Vinadio in 4.22.43, finishing 52 seconds ahead of Darwin Atapuma of BMC and 1.17 ahead of Joe Dombrowski of Cannondale, who had also been in the break.

Vincenzo Nibali finished sixth some 6.44 down but that was enough to put him in pink with a 52 second lead over Esteban Chaves.
