Mike Kiernan sadly passed away early on Monday morning after suffering from illness for a long time.
Mike was well known throughout the Leamington, Coventry and Nuneaton areas, always full of enthusiasm and quickly became an Icon in local Cricket.
Around 1995, Dennis Docking approached Mike to come and serve on the Coventry & District Cricket League Management Committee, becoming Chairman in 1997.
Mike always led from the front, quickly showing his love for our Charity Knockout Competitions, bringing these Competitions to what they are today.
When Mike joined the Coventry & District League in 1996, our KO Competitions were donating around £1000.00 to local Charities, by 2013 this had increased to around £4500.00, which goes some way to show Mike`s enthusiasm in raising money to be donated to local Charities. Mike was always a generous benefactor and will be missed enormously by everyone connected with local Cricket.
