Edvald Boasson-Hagen has said that his individual time trial at the Tour Of Qatar went pretty well.

The Norwegian rider for Dimension Data finished on the Lusail circuit with a superb time of 13.26, which was not only good enough to win what was the third stage but to take the golden jersey off the shoulders of team mate Mark Cavendish.

Speaking to his team about his victory, Boasson-Hagen, said: "It went pretty well, I have been feeling quite strong since earlier in the week so I had a go to try and take the victory."

"I am feeling strong but also I suffered in the wind.

"I am just happy that it was enough to take the jersey which we will do our best to keep."
