Hosking Wins La Course by Le Tour De France

Chloe Hosking Of Wiggle has won the La Course by Le Tour De France race.

Race twelve in the Women's World Cup series and it was Paris for a 89km thirteen lapper.

After a bad crash on lap three which took down a number of riders, British Champion Hannah Barnes was in the first break along with Olga Zabelinskaya, Brand and Chantal Blaak and they took a twelve second lead but were caught with 49kms to go.

A number of attacks were attempted but it was Kathrin Hammes who managed to jump clear with thirty kilometres remaining.

She was brought back. More attacks followed and with ten kiloemetres left,  Brand, Amy Pieters and Lauren Stephens were out in front with a twelve second lead.

With one lap to go that lead was down to ten seconds but the sprinters were not going to let them get away and caught them before there was two crashes.

Van Dijk jumped away with two kilometres to go but was caught and Hosking of Wiggle took the win with Lotta Lepisto second and Marieanne Vos in third, followed by Numainville, Fournier, Jeuland, Cromwell, Kiesanowski, Kopecky and Confalonieri.
