Haas Wins Vuelta A Burgos Stage Four

Nathan Haas of Dimension Data has won the fourth stage of the Vuelta a Burgos.

A five man break in  Más, Txurruca, Van Rensburg, Kobayashi and  Asselman away attacked early on this 145km stage from Aranda de Duero to Lerma.

With fifty kilometres gone, they had a lead of 2.48 as Asselman took the first sprint.

They stayed as a five man break until there was thirty one kilometres to go and Luis Mas of Caja Rural and Jacques Van Rensburg of Dimension Data were the two who stayed clear.

Going into the final ten kilometres and the peloton were eleven seconds behind them.and with 8.4kms they were caught by a peloton which had Katusha on the front.

At speeds of 60kmh, the peloton was all together going under the flam rouge.

BMC took to the front working for Jempy Drucker who came up the cobbles but was beaten by a Dimension Data rider in Nathan Haas in a time of 3.15.43 ahead of Drucker, Van Poppel and Tcatevich.

Gianni Meersman has taken over the lead of the race.
