Warwickshire County Cricket Club finally got in some batting practice on the second day of their friendly with Oxford MCCU at The Parks.
Laurie Evans and Varun Chopra put on 170 for the first wicket which came when Evans was trapped lobw by Weller for 98.
Chopra followed fourteen runs later, caught behind by Davies for 71 and Jon Trott was out for eight to see Warwicks on 189-3.
After Tim Ambrose had gone for eleven, Ateeq Javid and Rickie Clarke put on 43 for the fifth wicket. Clarke went for 24 whilst Javid batted on, passing the fifty mark and later becoming the seventh Warwickshire player to lose his wicket, after Keith Barker had gone for four, when he was trapped lbw by Weller after making 75.
Warwicks closed on 388-7.
