Warwickshire County Cricket Club had a good day on the opening day of their County Championship match with Surrey at Guildford.
At Woodbridge Road, Warwicks won the toss and batted first. It proved a good decision as Varun Chopra and Ian Westwood put on 153 for the first wicket.
Westwood went for 71, bowled by Keedy but Chopra continued on his way to a superb unbeaten 187 from 282 balls including 28 fours.
Will Porterfield added eleven and Jim Troughton nine but Tim Ambrose came in and hit an unbeaten 64 as Warwicks ended the day on 359-3.
