Eight Wicket Win For Warwicks

Warwickshire County Cricket Club had an eight wicket CB40 win at Northamptonshire today.

The home side batted first and put on 34 before Chris Wright struck to trap David Willey.

Fellow opener Alex Wakeley top scored with 62 from 78 balls but with Jeetan Patel taking four wickets in his eight overs. Northants struggled.

Keith Barker also bowled well for Warwicks and he took the final wicket of former Warwicks player Lee Daggett, the home side were all out for 148.

Varun Chopra and Will Porterfield made seventy before the Irishman was out. Chopra continued making an unbeaten 87 and although Warwicks lost Jim Troughton for 27, they won the match in 32.4 overs.
