Edward Theuns has won the second stage of the Belgium Tour.

Today's stage with Wout Van Aert in the leader's jersey was a 177.3km stage between Buggenhout and Knokke-Heist.

Ludwig De Winter and Brian van Goethem were the first to break and were quickly 3.22 ahead.

They were still 2.52 ahead with 61kms left but were less than two minutes ahead going into the final fifty kilometres.

As they went over the finish line for a second time in Knokke-Heist, the gap was just 34 seconds.

De Winter and Goetham were caught with 14.4kms left and Tony Martin attacked.

There was a crash meaning that a reduced peloton contested the sprint and it was Edward Theuns who took the win ahead of British rider Dan McLay and Kenny Dehaes.

Wout Van Aert keeps his leader's jersey.
