Shev Chaunderpaul hit 110 for Warwickshire as they levelled Yorkshire's first innings score on the second day of their County Championship match at Edgbaston.

Warwicks bowled Yorks out for 281 and with news that a Warwicks victory would put them top after Lancashire were beaten by Worcestershire, they batted.

Varun Chopra looked nervous and was out for seven, caught behind by Bairstow and when Will Porterfield went after eight balls without scoring, Warwicks were on 27-2.

Chaunderpaul and Westwood put on 67 for the third wicket which saw Westwood caught after making 55.

Jim Troughton added eighteen before Chaunderpaul and Tim Ambrose hit back at the Yorks bowlers. Ambrose on his way to an unbeaten 68, hit ten fours to pass the fifty park whilst Chanderpaul's century came from 176 balls and including seven fours and two sixes.

Chanderpaul was eventually caught behind after making 110 and just before the end when Warwicks had made it to the same 281 that the visitors had posted in the first innings, Chris Metters lost his wicket to see Warwicks on 281-6 at stumps.
