Jon Trott was 125 not out on the third day of England's test match with Sri Lanka at Cardiff.

Play didn't start until 2pm and when it did, night watchman Jimmy Anderson was out straight away.

That brought Trott and Alistair Cook to the crease and the pair started to put together a good stand. Cook's fifty came off 112 balls whilst Trott's came off 102. The pair went onto both make century's with Trott's coming off 196 balls and saw eight fours.

By stumps, they had put on an unbeaten stand of 240 with Trott 125 not out and Cook 129 not out to see England end the day on 287-2.
