Mark Cavendish of Dimension Data has said that he is super happy to have won the Tour Of Qatar.
Cavendish, who was in the leader's jersey going into the fith and final stage, finished second to take the overall victory by five seconds from Katusha's Alexander Kristoff.
Writing on Facebook, Cavendish said: "Super happy with my overall win at the Tour of Qatar this week!
"The Team Dimension Data for Qhubeka guys have been amazing all week.
"They've really committed to Edvald BH and me. Thanks very much to all the riders and staff. And we were SO close to a 1-2 finish.
"With only a few weeks of road conditioning in my legs I'll take that in early Feb. This is a win for the whole of Team DD."
