Jonathan Castroviejo of Spain is the new mens European Time Trial Champion.

The Movistar rider completed the 45.5km course in Plumelec which hosted the UEC European Championships after Nice was deemed unsafe following the terrorist attack in the summer, in a time of 58.13

That was good enough to beat Belgium's Victor Campenaerts who finished thirty seconds slower and Italy's Moreno Moser who finished in 58.52.

Great Britain did not send any riders but Ireland did with Team Sky's Nicholas Roche finishing in 59.27 to record an eighth place.

Ellen Van Dijk won the Women's Trial Trial finishing the 25.4km course in 36.41 ahead of fellow Dutch countrywoman Anna Van Der Breggen whom she beat by eighteen seconds.

Olga Zabelinskyaya was third.
