Boasson-Hagen Wins Tour Of Norway Stage Four

Edvald Boasson-Hagen of Dimension Data has won the fourth stage of the Tour Of Norway.

Stage four was a 174km stage from Flå to Hønefoss and had Pieter Weening of Roompot again in the leader's jersey.

Janse van Rensburg, Koishi, Handley, Reidar Borgers, Lukkedal, Hermansen and Trondsen got in to a break and were 3.39 ahead after twenty kilometres.

Lukkedal took the first sprint at Noresund and they were 4.04 ahead after seventy kilometres.

Through Sundvollen and the gap was at 3.04 with 66kms left before Borgers took the super sprint at Hønefoss.

Over the finish line for the first time and only five riders were out in front after Koishi dropped out of the front group.

The gap came down to 1.05 as Thalmann of TeamRothGruppe and Lietaer of Topsport crashed and with four kilometres to go, everyone was back together.

Eleven riders were on the front going into the final kilometre and it was Edvald Boasson-Hagen of Dimension Data who took the win ahead of Sondre Holst Enger of IAM Cycling and Paul Martens of LottoNL-Jumbo. 

Pieter Weening keeps his lead in the race.
