Coventry born Ian Bell made a century for Warwickshire on a rain affected day at Edgbaston.
Warwicks finally got to resume their County Championship game with Durham at 1.15pm and restarted on 116-5.
Bell hit one six and continued to make runs to take Warwicks past Durham's first innings score of 163.
With the score on 18-5, Warwicks lost first Tim Ambrose who had made 39 and Clarke a ball later to the bowling of Blackwell.
Bell had moved his total on to 106 before the rain came down with Warwicks on 195-7
