Bell Not Out For England

Ian Bell was 35 not out for England in their reply to Sri Lanka's 184.

A rain affected day, saw England finally remove the tourists with Chris Tremlett recording figures of 6-48 from twenty overs.

When England batted, Andrew Strauss went early doors after making three runs and was quickly followed by Warwickshire's Jon Trott who gave HAPW Jayawardene an easy catch after making four runs.

Alistair Cook hit 55 before he was out and Kevin Pietersen made 85 before being the fourth England player to be caught.

Coventry born Ian Bell finished the day 35 not out and England 195-4, some eleven runs ahead.
